One base, a few well-chosen stops and time to enjoy them. This flexible itinerary begins in Samaniego and leaves space for wine, villages and unhurried meals.

Day one: arrive and settle into Samaniego
Arrange your arrival at La Casona in advance, drop off your bags and spend the rest of the day getting to know Samaniego on foot. Keep the first evening simple rather than committing to a tasting immediately after a long journey. Book dinner ahead if you have a particular restaurant in mind, and check opening days before travelling.

Day two: discover the Alútiz wine story
Reserve a winery visit for a confirmed time and language. Allow time around it for lunch and a relaxed afternoon: the purpose is to enjoy the experience rather than fit as many stops as possible into one day. If you want to explore another village later, arrange your transport before any tasting. Your accommodation and winery experience are separate reservations unless an offer expressly states otherwise.

With a third day: choose Laguardia or Elciego
For a village-focused day, consider exploring Laguardia and its historic streets. Elciego is another option for combining a village walk with wine-related visits booked in advance. Choose one main outing and leave room to stop for the landscape. Access to wineries, guided tours and other paid attractions depends on their own timetables and booking conditions.

Adapt the itinerary to your trip
For a short break, two nights make room for one main wine experience. Three nights work well if you prefer a slower pace or want to add a second village. Weather and opening days may change the order of your plans. Vineyard scenery changes with the seasons, but harvest activities are not guaranteed and require specific confirmation.

Plan transport, then reserve
A car is useful for moving between villages, while travellers without one should confirm transfers or public transport connections beforehand.
